On-line registration is now closed. Please pay on-site. If
you have a group coming, please contact the registrar.
Details:
We will be offering the standard courses - white and yellow
for beginners - orange for intermediate - red and green for advanced
orienteerers. E-Punch will be used on orange, red, and green courses.
Directions:
Take Route 53 north of I-90 for 6 miles. Exit on Dundee Road, turn
left, and go west 3 miles to Quentin Road. Turn right and go north
0.5 mile. Turn left into the forest preserve. Continue straight
at the first intersection within the preserve. The registration
area will be at the Grove 1 shelter. Follow the orienteering signs
from the second parking area on your left. IMPORTANT:
Park in designated spots only. Otherwise, you will probably be ticketed
by the Cook County Forest Preserve Police.
Public Transportation:
Bring your bike on Metra! A Metra train arrives at the Palatine
station on Sundays at 11:24 a.m. from the Ogilvie Transportation
Center in Chicago. From there you ride or walk north on Smith Street,
past a 19th century cemetery, to the bike path which will lead you
directly into the forest preserve and registration just prior to
the noontime cut-off (2 miles from station).
