Thursday April 30th.
Join us on SATURDAY May 2nd for a unique urban NIGHT orienteering
experience in Chicago. There will be a 4 km "Short" course
and a 10 km "Long" course. Both could be considered easy
from a navigation standpoint. Because it's in the city (plus the
nearly full moon), headlamps won't be required, but it might make
the controls easier to find, as they will be wrapped in reflective
tape.
There will be many road crossings, so highly reflective clothing
is recommended. There will be a prize for the most highly reflective
outfit.
This is basically a fun run in the city!
Details:
Registration will be at the Sydney R. Marovitz Golf Course parking
lot, which can be found at the far east end of Irving Park Road.
There is limited free parking on the access road (Recreation Drive),
but the lot at the registration area itself is a pay lot.
