Details:
Plan a journey to the far northwest for our annual Night-O event
Saturday, August 15. We are returning once again to
Veteran Acres Park in Crystal Lake. We’ll be offering
a short (and easy) course, a medium course, and a long course. The
short course will be only in the open area around start/finish location
and will be suitable for beginners and families with kids. Controls
on the short course will be marked with glow sticks!
For the medium and long courses, expect lots of trails, visible
through tall and dense undergrowth. Use the trails as much as you
can, and don't rely too much on the vegetation details. Controls
will be marked with reflective tape. Long sleeves and pants would
definitely be in order as well--even though controls are near trails,
there will be vegetation that will need to be navigated.
BE SURE TO BRING MOSQUITO REPELLENT!
Of course, it goes without saying that each participant will need
to bring a headlamp or flashlight, with good batteries.
This event is included in Season Pass, so no additional registration
is required for Season Pass holders.
Special Thanks:
CAOC is especially appreciative of the Crystal
Lake Park District and their staff. They are very helpful and
easy to work with!
