Details:
The Palos North area features some great terrain, and we visit the
area at least once a year. This time we are starting at Wolf Road
Woods, grove #2, a location which we haven't used recently—something
new. The standard courses will be offered—white and yellow for
beginners, orange for intermediate, and green and red for advanced.
Let's keep our fingers crossed for some warm, dry weather!!
Directions:
Public Transportation: Take Pace bus #381 from
the 95th Street Terminal (in the middle of the Dan Ryan Expressway)
on the Red elevated line at either 8:30 a.m. or 9:30 a.m. Get off
as the bus turns left at 88th Avenue about 40 minutes later. Walk
west on 95th Street past Willow Springs Woods to turn left on Archer
Avenue. Go southwest on Archer Ave and turn right on 95th street.
Follow 95th to Wolf Road at the top of the hill. Go south on Wolf
Road about 2/3 mile to the third right, Wolf Road Woods grove #2.
Driving: From the Stevenson Expwy (I-55) take
LaGrange Road - South (Hwy 45) across the river and exit on Archer
Avenue to the southwest. Continue for 3 miles and turn left onto
95th street. Turn right at the top of the hill onto Wolf Rd. Go
south on Wolf Rd about 2/3 mile to the third entrance on your right,
Wolf Road Woods Grove #2. Look for the orange-and-white orienteering
signs as you get closer.
